The Plan Commission will meet in virtual format, Monday, February 13, 2023 at 5:30 PM. Agenda items include amending supplemental regulations within Section 28.151 MGO and definitions within Section 28.211 of the Madison General Ordinances to update definitions of "Family".

West Area Plan: Help shape the future of your neighborhood - Additional Virtual Meeting on Monday

The City of Madison invites residents, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to join in the public planning process for the West Area Plan. The City is hosting kick-off meetings for both areas, with in-person and virtual alternatives for attending. Staff will provide an overview of background information and gather input from community members about issues and opportunities in the respective planning areas.

In-Person Meeting: In-person meeting was canceled due to winter. It will be rescheduled soon.

Economic Development Committee
The Economic Development Committee will meet in virtual format, Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 5:00 PM. Agenda items include creating Section 29.40 and amending Section 1.08(3)(a) of the Madison General Ordinances to establish a building energy savings code, and to update the bond schedule accordingly.
Spring Primary Election Info

2023 Spring Primary Election - Several offices on the ballot this spring require a primary election on Feb. 21. District 19 has two candidates running for Alder, so there won't be a Feb. 21 primary for that election, but there will be for in the Mayoral and State Supreme Court elections. The Council website allows you to find out which Aldermanic district you live in. If you live in Aldermanic districts 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 12, 14, or 20, you will see the primary races for your district on your ballot.

In-Person Absentee Voting Has Begun in Madison: In-person absentee voting for the Spring Primary Election began on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at several locations throughout the City of Madison.

Mail It Back Monday: Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 - 8:00am to 5:00pm. Voters who have yet to return their absentee ballot are encouraged to put the ballot in the mail no later than today (Monday!).
- Media Kit Available for 2023 Spring Primary: The 2023 Spring Primary Media Kit prepared by the Madison City Clerk's Office is now available to help answer questions about statistics, processes and procedures for the upcoming primary election.
