Two Meetings of Interest to District 19 Tonight!

posted

Hello, everyone.

I apologize for being late with my weekly announcement. I just have a lot going on and am doing my best, but simply can't respond to the volume of emails and calls I've been getting on one of the meetings below as quickly as I would like.  This first post is just related to two meetings TONIGHT that I know are of interest to a lot of D19 residents:

Here are several blog posts about this topic from both me and Alder Bill Tishler:

September 18, 2023

September 25, 2023

October 20, 2023

Note: I can only stay for the first hour of this meeting because I need to attend another meeting at 6:30 (described below).

(2) Virtual Meeting on a proposed multi-family development located at 6614-6706 Old Sauk Rd tonight at 6:30. Pre-registration required (click link) or type in: www.cityofmadison.com/MeetingOctober24OldSauk

Note: After you register, you will receive an email with instructions for connecting via Zoom or phoning into the meeting.

Those within a mile or so radius of this location received postcards about the meeting and I know many of you already plan to go. I will be a few minutes late because I need to attend the first half of the meeting above.  The developer has not yet submitted an application to develop the property at this point. The meeting tonight is the first step in the process after notifying the City and me of their intent to do so. The developers (Stone House Development) are first interested in getting feedback from the community. You will have an opportunity to ask your questions at this meeting, and it will be recorded for those who can't attend (and I will provide a link to that recording when it becomes available).

I hope to see many of you at one or both of these meetings.
