Prescribed burn at Owen Park on Thursday

Madison Parks will conduct a prescribed burn at Owen Conservation Park tomorrow, Thursday, October 19, 2017. Conservation Parks Supervisor Paul Quinlan says he expects the predicted low wind speeds to allow smoke to lift almost vertically, minimizing impacts to homes in the surrounding area. You may still see or smell smoke or fire for a brief time during the burn.

Quinlan expects to conduct the burn sometime between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The Madison Fire Department and the Dane County 911 Dispatch Center will be notified.
