Important COVID-19 Update - Order of Public Health - Mass Gatherings

March 13, 2020 5:00 PM

Public Health Madison & Dane County has just issued the following order effective as of 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020, and continuing until further notice:

ORDER OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER OF MADISON AND DANE COUNTY IMPOSING A COUNTYWIDE MORATORIUM ON MASS GATHERINGS OF 250 OR MORE PEOPLE TO MITIGATE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19

You can read the press release here and full order here. You can continue to get Public Health updates on their site.

When additional information is available about City meetings, I will share. For now, everything is proceeding as normal, but with necessary precautions (i.e. Tuesday's Council meeting will only allow 50 people inside the main council chambers, with more space in overflow rooms).

2 Watershed PIMs Next Week

The March 16, 2020 public information meeting for the Wingra West watershed, that was scheduled for 6-8 p.m. at Sequoya Library, 4340 Tokay Blvd., has been postponed. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

The March 19, 2020 public information meeting for the Madison Pheasant Branch watershed, that was scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Blackhawk Church, 9620 Brader Way, Middleton, Wis., has been postponed. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

I will post an update when they are rescheduled. You can also see more on the Engineering Division's Facebook Page.

Please share with anyone who planned on attending.
