The week of March 20 has items of possible interest to residents of district 2 at the Sustainable Madison Committee, the Landmarks Commission, the Plan Commission, the CCOC Subcommittee on Policy & Community Relations, the Common Council Organizational Committee, the Common Council – Discussion, the Common Council, the Urban Design Commission, the 2017 Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities: 800 & 900 Blocks of E. Johnson – Public Information Meeting, and the Park and Open Space Plan Community Visioning Session. The city meeting agenda items are open for testimony from the public should you be interested in weighing in.  I also appreciate hearing from you on any items on which you have a particular interest or concern so please send me an email or give me a call.

PATRICK W. HECK (2nd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Heck is a researcher with the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies. He currently serves as chair of the Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association Council Development Committee. Mr. Heck succeeds Susan M. Bulgrin.

2017 Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities, 800 & 900 Blocks of E. Johnson – Public Information Meeting

City Engineering is having a public neighborhood meeting to discuss the undergrounding of overhead utilities on E. Johnson between N. Livingston and N. Brearly.   Some properties will require electrical modifications in order to receive underground verses overhead service. The proposed work will involve removal and replacement of some sidewalk at spot locations in order to complete the undergrounding of overhead utilities. City Engineering staff, MG&E staff and Ald. Zellers will be present at the meeting.

The City of Madison Parks Division is looking for input from the community to guide the 2018-2022 Park and Open Space Plan Update!  Madison Parks is hosting five visioning sessions to help define community values that will guide this plan update.  This is the last visioning session so come and speak up to have your vision heard!
