124 E Gorham Street Proposal at Landmarks Commission on May 19

Hi all,

I wanted to let you all know that the proposal to build a 5-story, 22-unit apartment building on what is currently a gravel lot at 124 E Gorham is going to Landmarks Commission next Monday, May 19. Based on staff comments, I thought the applicant might choose a referral but they intend to move forward with the proposal.

You can find files related to the proposal, including renderings and the application at Legistar File 87103. The Landmarks Commission meeting will focus on the relationship of the proposed building to other existing buildings in the Mansion Hill Historic district, and whether the proposal meets the Secretary of the Interior's standards. Future meetings such as Urban Design Commission and Plan Commission will focus on the design of the building and the zoning, respectively.
