Upcoming Meeting and Events

posted

Hi all, I hope you had a great memorial day and enjoyed the wonderful weather! Here are a few updates from the past week and upcoming week.

This Past Week

This past week, the city's Housing Policy Committee met for the first time since the Housing Policy and Landlord-Tenants Issue committees joined. City staff gave presentations on the current state of housing in Madison, wha we know, what we can do, and what we can do. The report is excellent and if you're interested in housing policy I encourage you to read the report. Additonally, we learned that there will be two stages of housing proposals from the Mayor, with the first stage set to come to Housing Strategy Committee on June 26th.

The Greater Madison MPO is also running a survey that will shape the Active Transportatino Plan, including walking and biking. There's even a map for people to drop pins and comments on specific locations!

Development Updates

On Thursday, June 5th, I'll b hosting a virtual meeting for public comment on the 302 & 308 E Washington Ave proposal, where the current Cap Fitness building is. I'll send out a link to the meeting on this blog once it has been set up.
