District 19, interviews to fill the Alder District 19 vacancy.

Former Alder Kristy Slack resigned as Alder of District 19. District 19 is adjacent to District 20. While Alder of District 19, Alder Slack invited me to the table when  development impacted both districts. The property on Ellis Potter Court is one of those development proposals. There were several neighborhood meetings held discussing this proposed development. What was quite encouraging was that the developers listened to the neighbors and made recommended adjustments in layout and design. The Planning Commission will consider this item tonight. This proposed development will not only bring added housing to the area, but stability and safety as well. The End Time Ministries, housed in buildings on the site has been creating a safe space for the surrounding neighborhood as well as providing support and stability to those in the surrounding neighborhood in need of a helping hand up vs a handout. If you are able please join the virtual meeting.

Tuesday, January 23, 4:30 p.m. the Common Council Executive Committee (CCEC) will interview the 5 candidates who filed to replace Alder Slack as the Alder of District 19. Five resumes were received to fill the Alder District 19 vacancy:

John Guequierre, Joshua Miller, Richard Pearson, Joseph Roling, Michael Rosenblum. Applicant interviews: Tuesay, January 23, 2024, CCEC meeting 4:30 p.m., room 215 MMB.
