Construction progress remains on schedule and within budget at the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park. Major foundation work has been completed with significant progress on building infrastructure systems.

The project has reached important milestones. Administrative efforts including submittals, coordination meetings, and material mockups continue on schedule. This coordination supports timely material and component ordering for upcoming construction phases.

The project maintains its timeline and budget targets as construction moves toward exterior wall and roof work and structural steel installation in the coming months.

COMMON COUNCIL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE        4:30 p.m.  AGENDA ITEMS:

  • 2025 Surveillance Technology Report
  • UPDATED Elected and Appointed Official Code of Ethical Conduct

The City of Madison and its elected and appointed officials (alders, mayor, and CODE OF ETHICS – ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS TO COMMON COUNCIL/APPOINTED TO A BOARD, COMMISSION OR COMMITTEE.

Elected or appointed City officials, upon entering office or being appointed as a BCC member, shall be provided with a copy of this policy and shall acknowledge receipt. Failure to acknowledge receipt does not exempt an individual from the requirements of this policy.

SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT FOR ALDER VACANCY REPLACEMENT

This ordinance change would require individuals applying to fill an Alder vacancy to submit 20 signatures before submitting an application.

  • QUESTIONS: Why this ordinance change? | What is broken that this ordinance is attempting to fix? | The decision of which candidates are selected to advance through the recommendation process is determined by the Executive Committee. How could adding this signature requirement impact an equitable process?

Common Council

The Common Council meeting, Tuesday, September 16, at 6:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include extending the supportive services contract between the City and MACH OneHealth through April 30, 2026, for work conducted at Dairy Drive campground.

  • Dairy Drive

  • Tonight, Common Council will be voting on Alder Mayer's resolution to extend the contract with Madison Street Medicine to operate Dairy Drive through April. Alder Field's blog has an excellent write up of the issues and discussion going on around Dairy Drive. As it stands right now, it does not seem like the county is going to contribute any money towards the operation of Dairy Drive. It is possible for Madison Street Medicine to fund Dairy Drive through April using their existing funding, but Alder Mayer would need to introduce a substitute for that to take place.
