Join MSCR, MOST, the Wisconsin Partnership for Kids, Attorney General Josh Kaul, 600 youth from afterschool programs, and other partners to celebrate Lights On Afterschool on October 19th from 3:00–4:30 at the King Street side of the Capitol.
SUPPORT AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS
Lights On Afterschool, organized by the Afterschool Alliance, is a national event that highlights the critical need for quality afterschool programs and to bring awareness to the fact that for every one kid in an afterschool program in Wisconsin, four kids are waiting to get in. While neighboring states collectively invest approximately $170 million annually in afterschool programs, Wisconsin currently does not have a dedicated state funding allocation for these programs.
