Meetings: Madison Passenger Rail Station Location

The City of Madison invites you to share your feedback at one of two upcoming public meetings to discuss the draft results of the corridor evaluation for passenger rail and learn more about several potential station sites under consideration. These evaluations look at potential Madison passenger rail station locations for a future extension of the Amtrak Hiawatha line. Madison has been identified as a key connection for expanding passenger rail options in Wisconsin and, with newly available federal funding, is working with a number of entities to make this plan a reality.  

The City, along with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Amtrak, and consultants, will discuss the eight potential passenger rail station sites located along three general corridors (downtown, the future Madison Public Market area and the former Oscar Mayer plant area). There will also be a question-and-answer panel, and an open house following the presentation where attendees may take a closer look at each proposed location.

In-Person Public Meeting

Virtual Public Meeting
  • Tuesday, February 6
  • 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
