East Wilson Street Closure

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, the City’s paving contractor will begin final surface paving operations with a full closure of East Wilson Street from South Franklin Street to South Pinckney Street.

On Saturday, June 14 the pavement marking contractor will complete final pavement markings on East Wilson Street continuing the full closure. The street is anticipated to open by the end of the day on Saturday.

Local access will be maintained to this area via South Hancock Street. South Hancock Street will be converted to two-way traffic during paving operations. Local resident access to 151 and 155 East Wilson Street will be maintained via the rear alley and South Hancock Street.

Eastbound Doty Street should detour using South Webster Street to East Main Street to access South Blair Street.

Westbound East Wilson Street should detour using South Franklin Street to East Main Street to South Pinckney Street to access East Wilson Street.

Metro Transit bus stops will be relocated during this time and Routes C and 38 will be detoured. Detailed Metro Transit detour information is available at this link.
