Madison LakeWay (Lake Monona Waterfront) Meeting
postedAs part of the Madison LakeWay (Lake Monona waterfront) development initiative, Madison Parks is continuing to seek input on the ongoing design development of the proposed lakeshore and path improvements along the John Nolen Drive causeway. The area under consideration spans 0.6 miles of public lakeshore and is the first phase of implementation for the Madison LakeWay.
You are invited to attend a public meeting to review the ongoing design work for future waterfront improvements on Monday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smartphone, or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering at this link.
During the virtual meeting, Parks and design team representatives will present the design progress since the completion of the schematic phase earlier this year and review the proposed lakeshore amenities. The project timeline includes continuing design development through 2025, and construction anticipated to begin in 2027. Reconstruction of the John Nolen Drive causeway is scheduled to commence this October. Madison Parks is working closely with other City agencies to coordinate these improvements with the John Nolen Drive reconstruction, led by City Engineering.
