Madison Mini Marathon Traffic Impacts

Several downtown streets will be closed on Saturday morning, August 9, due to the 17th Annual Madison Mini Marathon & 5K. The half marathon starts at 7:00 a.m. on North Park Street at the foot of Bascom Hill, continues to the Capitol Square, through the UW Arboretum and back to the UW campus.

Traffic will not be allowed to cross the route when runners are present. Street closures along the routes will generally occur on a rolling basis, with streets reopening as the last runners go through. The last runners will finish at approximately 11:00 a.m., and all streets will reopen by noon.
