Downtown Apartment Move Out Refuse/Recycling Update

The Madison Streets Division special refuse and recycling collection service will resume downtown beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16. Collections will continue Monday, August 18. Crews will be emptying refuse and recycling carts, and collecting large items, such as furniture.

Residents moving out of and into apartments downtown are strongly encouraged to follow the collection guidelines outlined on the City August Move Out website. Following collection guidelines keeps City workers safe and makes collections faster.

Streets Division staff will continue monitoring the volume of material set to the curb in the downtown area. Throughout the week of Monday, August 18, crews will be assigned downtown again to continue collection of refuse and recycling carts, and large items.
