Run Madtown Race Event Street Closures

Several downtown streets will be closed for the Run Madtown races on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Rudy's Rainbow Mile starts at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. The Twilight 5K race starts an hour later at 7:00 p.m. Both races start and end on the 700 block of State Street and mainly utilize UW-Madison campus streets. Road closures will be in effect until approximately 8:30 p.m.

The half marathon and 10K races start on the 700 block of State Street at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 24. Road closures will be in effect until approximately 11:00 a.m.

Course marshals and police officers will be at intersections along the race courses to assist participants and traffic. Traffic will be allowed to cross the routes only when there are sufficient gaps in the participants. Drivers should plan to use alternate routes to avoid the race courses, if possible.
