Packed Common Council meeting agenda Tuesday night

Hello neighbors,

A quick update to let you know that this week’s City Council meeting is going to be a doozy. There are a number of issues of general interest on the agenda, including:

• Recycling recovery charge
  • New FAQ on this from the Streets Department
  • See blog posts from my colleagues Alder Foster and Alder Heck for additional commentary
• Body worn camera pilot
  • See blog posts from my colleagues Alder Foster and Alder Figuera Cole for additional commentary
  • If you haven’t yet, please do review the Body Worn Camera Feasibility Review Committee Report, and, in particular, their recommendations
• Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
  • This will approve the final geometry of the East-West corridor, and provide approval to purchase electric buses.
• Men’s Homeless Center
  • This will finalize the site of the permanent men’s shelter, and authorize competitive bids for architectural, engineering, and operating needs.

It’s going to be a long night!
