New parking restrictions, brush and large item pickup, West Campus District Plan open houses, Juneteenth, Events & Announcements
postedHello neighbors,
I’m pleased that the City has begun installing the signage in our district to enforce parking restrictions to allow the Clean Streets/Clean Lakes street sweeping program to be more effective. Some people have erroneously thought the no parking restrictions were for garbage pickup – they are not. The parking restrictions allow for effective street sweeping and snow removal. Please make note of the signs, as there will not be other announcements regarding the parking changes.
I’ve also noticed quite a bit of brush and large items on peoples’ terraces. Please check when brush will be picked up at your address. If you put it out after pickup dates, it will not be picked up, and you will need to take your brush to a drop off site. Large items left on the curb will not be picked up without a work order. And please, only place items on the terrace in front of your own property. Materials left in front of other people’s property will be assumed to have been placed there by the property owner, which could leave your neighbors with unfortunate visits from building inspection when they aren’t responsible for the detritus.
