Hilldale post office, Bus detour on Ridge, Budget discussions at Common Council tomorrow, Announcements and events

posted

Hello neighbors,

I’ve heard from a few of you in regards to the proposed relocation of the Hilldale post office. Alder Tishler wrote a blog post on this topic, which includes information on how to submit your comments about the proposed move. Please note that this situation is a result of the potential loss of lease of the property, and therefore is not within the control of the City.

With the reconstruction plans for Franklin and Stevens, the bus route will temporarily detour from Franklin to Ridge Avenue, but will continue to travel on Bluff St. These changes are expected around March 25, but please watch for future announcements. Once the buses are traveling on Ridge, it will be critically important for folks to be aware of their surroundings, since there are no sidewalks on Ridge at this time.
