WDMA's F-35 Community Connection website updated with feedback from recent listening sessions

Alder Charles Myadze and I both attended the F-35 listening session on February 3 at MATC. We asked to be alerted when the website was updated. We received this email Monday February 19 from WI Dept of Military Affairs Program Manager Leslie Westmont. The Council Office will connect her with neighborhood associations in the area, but please let me know if your neighborhood association wants to be included in these more focused sessions and provide your contact info to council@cityofmadison.com.

Good afternoon, Alder Rummel and Alder Myadze, 

 Hope you both are doing well.  I’m following up on our conversations earlier this month on feedback and information gathered at the listening sessions at Madison College.  We have complied the feedback received, as well as have generated a Frequently Asked Questions document, to address some of the most common questions asked, and to develop a one stop resource for information.  As you both know, the address to our project portal is, Madison F-35 Community Connection has the most up to date information on the project as well.  

With that said, and the files being too large to email, if you follow the link to the project portal, all the new information is posted on the landing page.  Additionally, we have added some links to additional resource pages on various topics which are located in the header.  

I’m happy to answer any additional questions you may have. 

Moving forward, we have tentatively scheduled some additional more focused listening sessions for the third week of March.  We would like to try to do these sessions by neighborhood association/area and will host the meetings within those neighborhoods.  I’ve looked on the City of Madison’s website for contact information for each association/area, but I have struggled in the past with reaching a few of them.  Would either of you have any connections, or contacts I could reach out to, in hopes of connecting and scheduling meetings?
