Starting Monday: Televisions, Computers, Laptops & Monitors will be Free to Recycle at Streets Division Drop-off Sites

Good morning neighbors,

The city will stop charging for computers, laptops, monitors, and television recycling starting on Monday, February 20, 2023.  This change will be in effect from February 20 until the end of the year.  Here’s a link to the release.

Madison residents just have to bring these items to one of the city drop-off sites, and put it in the right spot.

The city cannot accept material from businesses, though. The company the city work with to recycle electronics (Universal Recycling Technologies) has a deal with Samsung to pay for the city electronics recycling.
