Thank you!

Let me start by saying thank you! Thank you for re-electing me as your Alder. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue the hard work I have been doing for my community. All of my life, I have had to fight, and I will continue to fight hard for my constituents in District 9.

I also want to thank my team of supporters who were, and continue to be, 100% behind me for whatever I need. I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to my children for helping me along on this journey. You kids are the best, and I love you so much! I am very proud to be your mama. Lastly, thank you to my constituents, without your support and encouragement, I would not have the privilege of representing you and the issues that matter most to you.

I will continue to communicate and engage frequently with my community. I will lead with transparency and continue to create space and opportunities, so all voices can be heard. I will continue to build upon the relationships in the community and with City staff. I will also do my best to represent all the members of my district and of the city of Madison as a whole.

I am happy to announce that I will remain on the Sustainable Madison Committee, Community Development Block Grant Committee, Landlord and Tenants Right Committee, and this year I have been appointed to the Board of Public Works. I am excited to continue to work on my committees and champion great work here in the city.​
