Week of March 30, 2026

District Niners,

  • Saturday was proof (once again) that District Niners will take to the streets to voice many concerns about the democratic process.  They welcomed those from within and beyond the borders of district nine:  seniors and those using a range of mobility devices; wheelchairs, walkers and canes who could not withstand the sheer number of people who gathered at Brittingham Park and proceeded to the capitol to protest events taking place in our democracy.  Speaking up and speaking out is alive and well in District Nine.  We must remain vigilant!
  • Remember, early voting has started.  Take some time to learn about the candidates on the ballot and develop a plan to vote early or in-person.  Go to: MyVote.wi.gov for information related to 1) voting on election day, 2) if I am in the hospital, 3) you need a ride to your polling place, 3) document(s) you need in order to vote, 4) you don't have a voter ID and much, much more. Remember, every vote is consequential.

Your well-being,

You have experienced that first sip of spring, but winter is kinda sorta not letting the flavor last.  Hold on...Spring is coming.  Open the door and let it in.  We have earned it.

Until next time,

Be safe and be well.

Joann
