Southside/Near Westside Budget Engagement Event (NEW LOCATION)

Welcome to the Southside/Near Westside Budget Engagement Event!

Attention all Southsiders & Near Westsiders! Come join us at the Village on Park in the Atrium Community Room (new location), for an interactive session where we discuss the 2025 budget outlook. This in-person event is your chance to have your voice heard and share your thoughts on what should be prioritized in our community! Doors open at 5:15 p.m.

The City is facing a significant budget shortfall this year that will impact services. What City services do you value the most? What is your vision for the future of Madison? You are invited to join Alders Regina Vidaver (District 5), Yanette Figueroa Cole (District 10), Tag Evers (District 13), and Isadore Knox Jr. (District 14), for an in-person opportunity to discuss the budget, learn more about the services the City provides, and share your thoughts with elected officials.

Whether you're a budget pro or just curious about how it all works, this event is for you! Let's work together to make our neighborhood even better. See you there!

Date: Wednesday, May 29, 5:30 p.m. (IN-PERSON)

Location: The Village on Park, 2300 S. Park St., Madison, WI 53713, in the Atrium Community Room

Light refreshments will be provided.

At this event you will:

1. Learn about the challenges facing the City budget, how we got here, and what we can do about it
2. Find out more about where your tax dollars go and the services the City provides
3. Participate in small group discussions with your neighbors and alders to share your thoughts about City services, your vision for Madison, and what you would like the alders to consider as they evaluate their options for the 2025 budget.

After you register, we will send you information about the agenda for the evening, videos and resources on the City budget, and ways you can reach us before and after the event.
