Central Budget Engagement Event

Welcome to the Central Budget Engagement Event!

Attention all Downtowners! Come join us virtually via Zoom or in person at the Madison Municipal Building for an interactive session where we discuss the 2025 budget outlook. This hybrid event (IN PERSON & VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION AVAILABLE) is your chance to have your voice heard and share your thoughts on what should be prioritized in our community.

The City is facing a significant budget shortfall that will impact services. What City services do you value the most? What is your vision for the future of Madison? You are invited to join Alders Juliana Bennett (District 2), Mike Verveer (District 4), Marsha Rummel (District 6), and MGR Govindarajan (District 8) for an in-person opportunity to discuss the budget, learn more about the services the City provides, and share your thoughts with elected officials.

Whether you're a budget pro or just curious about how it all works, this event is for you! Let's work together to make our neighborhood even better. See you there!

Date: Thursday, May 30

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (hybrid-virtual participation available)

Location: Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Madison, WI 53703, Conf Rm MMB 215

At this event you will:

1. Learn about the challenges facing the City budget, how we got here, and what we can do about it
2. Find out more about where your tax dollars go and the services the City provides
3. Participate in small group discussions with your neighbors and alders to share your thoughts about City services, your vision for Madison, and what you would like the alders to consider as they evaluate their options for the 2025 budget.

After you register, we will send you information about the agenda for the evening, videos and resources on the City budget, and ways you can reach us before and after the event.
