Fire Station 2 (Grand Canyon Drive) on the 'A' shift
What makes your territory special or unique?
My current assignment at Ladder 2 is on the west side. I’ve spent all of my time in Madison living on the east side and downtown. Working on the west side gives me the opportunity to work in parts of Madison I haven’t seen.
What was your first lifetime experience with a firefighter or paramedic?
My first experience with MFD firefighters was when I was an intern at the Town of Madison. We would occasionally respond to calls with Ladder 6 or Medic 6, and I always looked up to those crews.
What are among your most memorable experiences since graduating the Academy?
I was on a trade at Station 7 and had a car fire with one of my classmates and buddy Marshall Goodrich.
What advice would you give to someone hoping to join the MFD?
Develop your interview skills and keep applying.
If you could have a dinner party with anyone, dead or alive, who would you invite and what would you prepare?
I’d order Mexican food and invite Aaron Rodgers, Scott Stapp, and Tiger Woods.
