Incident Details
Firefighters were called to an indoor recreational facility at 7309 West Towne Way for a possible fire.
Staff advised there was an electrical wire that had been smoking but no fire.
Medic 2 and Engine 7 entered the building and reviewed the exposed wire that was hanging down in a climbing structure. The coating of the wire appeared melted and appeared to be part of a longer strip of wires that had built-in lights within it.
Firefighters helped the building owner find the correct circuit breaker that fed the climbing structure and turned off electricity. With maintenance staff en route, firefighters turned the building back over to the owner and management.
