Lake Rescue Team Assists Overturned Boaters

The MFD Lake Rescue Team was called to Lake Mendota near Marshall Park for an overturned sailboat.

The team launched their boat from the Lake Street boat launch in downtown Madison and made their way across the lake. While en route, rescuers were given information that another boater stopped to help.

Upon arrival, two people were taken aboard the Lake Rescue boat and checked for injuries. EMS was not needed.

MFD Lake Rescue towed the sailboat to the Marshall Park boat launch and brought the boaters back to shore.
