posted

Now that the Olympics in China has ended, your dog has an opportunity to compete right here in Madison.

On Monday, September 1st, 2008 area residents are cordially invited to a family filled day at Goodman Pool (325 Olin Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin). This is an invitation to bring your dog to the pool and celebrate the end of summer. There will be events & activities such as (1) Farthest jump, (2) Best retrieve, (3) Best water trick to name a few that your dog can participate in during this worthwhile excursion. There will also be additional contests and prizes available if your dog has other talents! Understand that your dog MUST BE LICENSED AND VACCINATED TO PARTICIPATE. If you have any questions about licensing requirements, please visit the City of Madison website: www.ci.madison.wi.us. An opportunity to meet and greet the Madison Police Department K-9 Officers will also be a treat for anyone attending this worthwhile event. There will be a $10.00 per dog fee or a $5.00 per person fee for those who do not have a dog. Onsite registration is allowed. For more details about helpful hints to think of before bringing your dog to this event, please visit www.capitalk9s.org for important information. Gates will open promptly at 10:00am, and there will be a contest every hour until 3:00pm. The event will conclude at 4:00pm. Capital K-9s is a non-profit organization that supports the expansion and maintenance of the Madison Police Department K-9 Unit. Proceeds from this event will benefit Capital K-9's. Corporate sponsors Animart, 4 Paws Swim & Fitness, and Westside Family Pet Clinic are just a few of many sponsors of this particular event, and we hope that you will support this campaign while enjoying an entertaining day at the Goodman Pool.
