Madison - Ald. Bridget Maniaci, District 2 and Ald. Mike Verveer, District 4 are holding a neighborhood meeting for residents to learn about and give feedback on a proposal by Hammes Company to redevelop/renovate the Edgewater Hotel. The proposed project would restore the current hotel, include a 36,000-square-foot traffic circle and landscaped terrace above the 1973 hotel addition, and a 17-story hotel addition (of which 11-stories would be above-grade) on the east side of the property. The entire project would include approximately 230 hotel rooms. In addition to Ald. Maniaci and Ald. Verveer, Karl van Lith from the City's Organizational Development & Training office will be facilitating the meeting. Brad Murphy, Planning Director and Matt Tucker, Zoning Administrator will also be in attendance to answer questions and provide information on the process.
