Regular Collection for christmas Eve and New Year's Eve

There will be no refuse or recycling collection in the City of Madison on Friday December 25th or Friday January 1st because of the Christmas and New Years holidays. If your material is normally collected on Friday it will be collected on Monday December 28th and Monday January 4th. Residents should be sure to get their material out to the curb on time as Street Division crews will be collecting in both the Friday and Monday refuse districts on December 28th and January 4th. East side residents should have their material out at the curb by 6 a.m. and west side residents by 7 a.m. Because of the double collection, large item collection will be reduced. Residents are asked to hold on to large items until after the holidays if possible. There will be regular refuse and recycling collection on both Christmas Eve, December 24th and New Year's Eve December 31st. Since crews only work a half-day on the 24th and 31st, make sure you have your material out on time. The Streets Division's offices and drop off sites will also be closed on December 25th and January 1st. For additional information visit the Streets Division's web page at www.cityofmadison.com/streets.
