Goodman Pool Season Ends August 24
Get in your pool days before the season ends! The Goodman Pool will close for the 2025 season after Sunday, August 24, weather permitting. This planned closure is based on staffing availability, as most of our lifeguards are students returning to school. Safety is our top priority and without adequate staffing, we cannot remain open beyond this date.
In July, following approval from the Board of Park Commissioners, we began enforcing a new youth attendance policy requiring anyone visiting Goodman Pool aged 11 to 15 years old to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Since that time, we have been working to create a process that allows youth aged 11-15 to visit the pool without a parent or guardian present. Note, children who are 10 years or younger must be accompanied by a guardian 16 years of age or older.
The Youth Attendance Waiver allows visitors aged 11 to 15 years old to attend Goodman Pool without their parent or guardian present, once completed by a parent or legal guardian and verified in person by Pool staff. To learn more and how to apply, see Youth Attendance Policy. Although only a few open days remain this season, we're using this time as a soft launch and will continue refining the process in preparation for the 2026 season.
All splash parks, including the newly opened Jeff Erlanger Sprayground at Rennebohm Park, remain open daily through Monday, September 1.
As a reminder, Goodman Pool hours are subject to change. The pool may close, among other circumstances, if the air temperature is below 69° at opening or there is low attendance. See Closing Policy for more information.
