- Thursday, June 11 - opening day, no lap swim and no cabana rentals.
- Friday, June 19 – no open recreation swim. Groups/day camps/daycares only from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Goodman Waves Meet 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
- Saturday, June 20 – no lap swim or tot time. Goodman Waves Meet 8:00am - 12:00pm.
- Tuesday, June 23 – no open recreation swim. Groups/day camps/daycares only from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Goodman Waves Meet 3:00 - 7:00pm.
- Friday, June 26 – pool closes at 4:30pm and reopens for MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
- Tuesday, July 7 – no open recreation swim. Groups/day camps/daycares only from 1:00 - 3:00pm. Goodman Waves Meet 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
- Friday, July 10 – pool closes at 4:30pm and reopens for MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 5:00pm – 7:00pm.
- Saturday, July 11 – no lap swim or tot time. Goodman Waves Meet, 8:00am – 12:00pm.
- Saturday, July 25 – no lap swim or tot time. Goodman Waves Meet, 8:00am – 12:00pm.
- Saturday, August 1 – limited lanes for lap swim and no tot swim, MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 10:00am - 11:30am.
- Saturday, August 15 – limited lanes for lap swim and no tot swim, MSCR's Adaptive Family Swim, 10:00am - 11:30am.
- Sunday, August 23 – Final day of the 2026 season.
Safety Breaks / Adult & Infant Swim Time
The Pool will close for 10-minute breaks at various times each day. During these breaks, infants aged 2 and under may use the pool only when accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. No other swimmers, use of slides, or diving boards are permitted until the all-swim announcement.
Pool Closing Policy
All posted hours are subject to change. The pool may close due to one or more of the following circumstances:
- If the air temperature is below 69° at opening or low attendance.
- If rain prevents the lifeguards from seeing the bottom of the pool.
- If there has been rain, thunder or lightning for one hour and/or the storm is forecasted to continue.
- The pool cannot meet the state codes for the safety, maintenance and operation of pools and water attractions.
- By Public Health Emergency Order.
- Mechanical breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances.
Concession Hours
Food and any beverages except water must be consumed in the cabana area.

Sunday Night Family Swim
Enjoy a Sunday evening at the Goodman Pool with up to 6 people for $15 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, weather permitting.

Tot Time
Tot Time is an easy, quieter time for a parent or guardian to come with, ideally, one or two children aged 10 years and younger to enjoy the zero-depth area with water features, catch pool and shallow end. An adult must be present for the duration and within arm's reach of their children at all times. Slides are not available. Access to Tot Time allows you same-day entrance to Recreation Open Swim with a handstamp.

Goodman Waves Swim & Dive Team
The Goodman Waves, Madison's only public swim & dive team, is one of the 13 teams that competes in the All-City Swim and Dive League, a recreational summer swim & dive league that has been in Madison for over 50 years.
