New Ladder 2 was placed into service on Thursday, February 12. It's a Pierce Enforcer 105-foot aerial ladder with a tandem rear axle configuration and a wheelbase of approximately 258.5 inches. It has a gross vehicle weight rating of approximately 74,800 pounds, providing the strength and stability required for aerial operations.

The truck is equipped with a 500-gallon water tank and 20-gallon foam tank with a midship fire pump rated at 2,000 gallons per minute, allowing crews to deliver high-volume fire suppression while operating the aerial ladder.

Ladder 2 incorporates modern safety technology, including integrated air bag systems for firefighter protection and the HAAS Alert responder-to-vehicle collision avoidance system, enhancing safety during emergency response and roadway operations.

The apparatus is fully equipped with state-of-the-art firefighting equipment to support a high level of operational readiness and service to the community.

Ladder 2 was welcomed home to Fire Station 2 by Lt. McDonald, AE Steel, FF Ramirez, and FF Lesser. Fire Station 2 is located on 421 Grand Canyon Drive.
