East Main and South Hancock Street Closures

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, the city's contractor, R.G. Huston Company, will resume construction on the East Main Street and South Hancock Street reconstruction project started in 2025. Concurrent with this work, utility companies will continue replacing underground infrastructure in the area.

Closure details:

• East Main Street will be closed to thru traffic from South Webster Street to South Franklin Street.
• South Hancock Street will be closed to thru traffic from East Washington Avenue to East Main Street.
• The South Hancock Street cul-de-sac, south of East Wilson Street, will also be closed to thru traffic but East Wilson Street will not be affected.
