posted

Free food scraps recycling drop-off begins at the Capitol View Farmers' Market on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Look for the free food scraps drop-off tent to compost your coffee grounds, eggshells, and appropriate vegetable and fruit scraps.

At the food scraps tent you can get a free bucket for carrying food scraps, guides, and even fun stickers about our collection goal.

The Capitol View Market is the fourth neighborhood food scraps drop-off site to open for the season.

We also have neighborhood food scraps drop-offs at the Madison Eastside Farmers' MarketSouth Madison Farmers' Market, and the Westside Community Market.
