  1. System Upgrade

    Our permit and complaint system is being upgraded. The system is expected to be unavailable from Thursday, July 23 at 4:30pm until Monday, July 27 at 6:00am.

  2. Email Scam (Phishing Attempt)

    The FBI has warned that scammers are pretending to be city officials to request payments for planning and zoning permits. We're aware of phishing attempts following this scam in Madison.

Our permit and complaint system is being upgraded. The system is expected to be unavailable from Thursday, July 23 at 4:30pm until Monday, July 27 at 6:00am. During this time, you will not be able to schedule an appointment, apply for a permit, or submit a complaint online. If you have an urgent complaint, call 608-266-4551 or email binspection@cityofmadison.com. Requests for a Friday, July 24 permit inspection must be submitted by 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 23.
