This week brings a big milestone for the northeast side, a citywide challenge worth joining, and a couple of proud moments for our young writers. Whether you're marking your calendar for a ribbon cutting, logging a new way to get to work, or just catching some live music, there is something here for you. - Try a New Way to Get Around – Join the Smart Trips Challenge. With fall routines and the new school year beginning, September is a great time to try a different way of getting around – bike, bus, carpool, or walk. The challenge is free and open to anyone age 18 or older who lives or works in Dane County, with chances to win weekly and grand prize drawings. Create a free RoundTrip account and join the 2026 Smart Trips Challenge.
