Local Interest:

Meadowood Health Partnership is recruiting Holiday Sponsors for its Family Christmas Program!  Volunteering as a Holiday Sponsor means you (or your "sponsor group" of friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc.) get assigned to a family size of your choice, and you are given a list of desired needed or wanted items. The sponsor is responsible for purchasing and wrapping these items. Gifts need to be dropped off by December 20th. If interested, please contact Maureen Murphy or Sheray Wallace by December 1st.

Message from the Streets Division:  The weather put the Streets Division behind schedule, but the little bit of snow we've had hasn't stopped leaf pickup.  They're working hard to get caught up.  Place your leaves out on the scheduled date for your home by clicking here and Streets will be there as soon as they can.  Stay tuned for additional information as we approach the holiday season.

Message from Madison-area Urban Ministry (JustDane):  We would like to invite you to join us for this year's Longest Night Homeless Persons Memorial Service. The Service is part of a national event that happens on December 21st, the longest night of the year, to remember our neighbors who have died and were unhoused. This is the 14th year for the local service.  The event is a way to remember, celebrate and grieve members of our community who have died. This year's Longest Night Homeless Persons Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21st. We will gather at 3:00 p.m. at Capitol Square at the intersection of East Main, South Pinckney Street, and King Street. We will hold a brief outdoor service and then proceed around the Capitol led by a horse-drawn hearse.

MADrep CEO Jason Fields invites you to join us for the HEMAD kick-off on Monday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. in the Madison Room at the Madison Public Library, 201 W. Mifflin Street in downtown Madison.

Following the launch, please share the link to the HEMAD page (https://www.convergenceresource.org/hemad) with everyone in your organization and through your social media channels, urging men to watch the short video and fill out the form (name, email address) stating they took the pledge. It's something that can be done during a timeout of a football game or while scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn. #HEMAD #HumanTrafficking, #HEMAD2022.
