
Monona Dr. Development, Juneteenth, Garage Sales - D15 Update 6/13/22

On Monday, the Plan Commission will consider a proposal to demolish four commercial buildings to construct a five-story mixed-use building with approximately 6,400 square feet of commercial space, two vehicle access sales and service windows, and 69 apartments on one lot. UW Credit Union is expected to be one of the two commercial tenants in the new building. The proposal received a good reception at the neighborhood meeting on April 7 (watch here). The Plan Commission's recommendation will be forwarded for a final decision by the Common Council on June 21.
Eastmorland Community Association Meeting
This month's ECA meeting will be held on Tuesday in-person at the Walter Street shelter at Olbrich Park starting at 7p. You can find the agenda here.
Juneteenth
The Kujichagulia Madison Center for Self-Determination's 33rd Annual Outdoor Celebration of Juneteenth Celebration will be held both virtually and in person Tuesday, June 14, through Saturday, June 19. This year's theme is "Black Resilience: Embracing Our Past to Define Our Future." Learn more here.
Lake Edge/Eastmorland/Glendale Garage Sale
The multi-neighborhood garage sale will take place on June 18-19. More details including a link to the map can be found here.
Water Steward
Become a steward of our local waters with a new two session course. Water Stewards is developed in partnership with Sustain Dane, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, the Madison Area Municipal Storm Water Partnership, the Madison Water Utility, and the Dane County Land and Water Resources Department.
