The Common Council will take up an amendment to the Schenk-Atwood-Starkweather-Worthington Park Neighborhood Plan that was adopted in 2000 to add a land use recommendation for the northern half of the block bounded by Linden Avenue, Atwood Avenue, Division Street, and Dunning Street. Common Council Meeting

Tuesday’s Common Common agenda is another very long one with a number of items that may be of interest to D15 residents. You can find a link to the full agenda as well as links to register for public comment and to watch the meeting here.

Item 21 - Creating Section 28.022-00560 of the Madison General Ordinances to rezone property located at 2165 Linden Avenue, 15th Aldermanic District, from TR-V1 (Traditional Residential - Varied 1) District to PD(GDP) Planned  Development (General Development Plan)  and creating Section 28.022-00561 to approve a Specific Implementation Plan
Item 26 - Confirmation of appointment of District 15 resident, Maurice Sheppard, to the Plan Commission
Item 77 - Approving a land sale and agreements with Dane County to sell and develop portions of the Yahara Hills Golf Course as a future landfill, compost site and sustainable business park, and entering into a new solid waste agreement
Item 81 - Amending the 2022 Adopted Capital Budget to transfer $265,000 GO Borrowing from the Reconstruction Streets Program to Right-of-Way Landscaping Program, to allow conversion of medians with planting beds to turf and concrete
Item 89 - Approving Program Parameters for a New City Program Offering Assistance to Develop Accessory Dwelling Units 
Item 96 - Amending the Schenk-Atwood-Starkweather-Worthington Park Neighborhood Plan to add a land use recommendation for northern half of the block bounded by Linden Avenue, Atwood Avenue, Division Street, and Dunning Street, for future redevelopment to be “Medium Residential”, as shown on the plan amendment and map 

Conservation Park Tour at Edna Taylor

Conservation Park Tours are staff-guided, approx. 90-minute walks are held seasonally at various conservation parks on the 2nd Wednesday, May - October. The walks are held rain or shine, free to attend, easy-paced, and family-friendly. No registration is required. As is always prohibited in a conservation park, no pets are allowed. Transit-Oriented Development

The first two public information meetings on the new TOD zoning proposal will be held this Wednesday at noon and 6p. The same content will be presented at each of the meetings, and all meetings will be recorded for those who may want to learn more, but don't have availability during meeting times. Total Lunar Eclipse

There will be a total lunar eclipse visible in Madison on Sunday, May 15th, beginning at 8:30pm and reaching its maximum state at 11:11pm. More info can be found here
