Downtown Alders Host Meet and Greet

posted

Join Madison’s downtown alders for an engaging event where you have the opportunity to get to know the people who represent your community and have a say in local decisions. This in-person event will take place on Thursday, August 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. The meet and greet will take place in the Madison Room on the library’s third floor. It is a great opportunity to ask questions, share your concerns, and connect with fellow community members.

The Downtown Alders, which include Alder Juliana Bennett of District 2, Alder Michael Verveer of District 4, Alder Marsha Rummel of District 6, and Alder MGR Govindarajan of District 8, look forward to connecting with constituents one-on-one.

Attendees will have the opportunity to weigh in on the Brayton Lot Redevelopment by taking a brief survey. Additionally, here is a list of current issues affecting downtown constituents you may want to discuss with alders:

  • Affordable Housing and Development
  • Bus Rapid Transit and Metro Network Redesign
  • City Budget

Do not miss this chance to make your voice heard and be a part of shaping the community.

The Meet and Greet is free and open to the public. Resources for involvement with local government and light refreshments will be provided. If possible, please RSVP.
