What are the Common Council New Business Summaries?

The Common Council New Business Summaries help readers identify items they are interested in as they make their way through City Boards, Commissions, and Committees (BCCs) and back to the Common Council for a decision. This document provides a short description of each item that was introduced at the most recent Common Council meeting in the “Introduction of New Business for Referral Without Debate” section of the agenda, as well as any items introduced from the floor at the most recent Common Council meeting.

89078 – This proposed ordinance would rezone property located at 3357 and 3359 East Washington Avenue in District 12 for future multi-family development. This proposed ordinance will go to the following Boards, Committees, and Commissions on the following dates:

88833 – This proposed resolution would authorize an additional Special Vending Approval for a 2025 special event that is requesting to use public space in the City where an ordinance restricts vending to certain types of food or articles, or only from assigned sites. 88852 – This proposed resolution would acknowledge that the City of Madison Water Utility will request reimbursement on eligible capital project expenses through the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Safe Drinking Water Loan Programs reduced interest rate loan program.
