Police Chief Hiring Process – Community Feedback
The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners of the City of Madison (PFC) interviewed the three
finalists for the position of Police Chief on August 14, 2025. The recordings from the Q&A
session with each candidate are available on the PFC’s website:
https://www.cityofmadison.com/pfc.
The PFC will be accepting written feedback through the end of the business day on August 27,
2025, at pfc@cityofmadison.com. The PFC anticipates making its selection and announcing the
final candidate as soon as possible following completion of all steps in the process.
Interviews:
The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners of the City of Madison (PFC) interviewed the three finalists for the position of Police Chief on August 14, 2025. A recording of a question and answer session with each finalist is available for viewing. ASL, Spanish, Hmong, and Mandarin translations will be added as they become available.
The start times of each finalist’s interview is as follows:
Public input may be submitted to the PFC in writing at pfc@cityofmadison.com. In addition, the PFC will hold a public comment period during its Special Meeting on August 25, 2025 at 5:30 pm.
