Event Description
Tour Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park - North Unit aboard a tractor-pulled hay wagon, enjoy nature activities, take a self-guided hike, participate in the scavenger hunt or do it all! Plus enjoy free hot cider, a campfire, and marshmallows to roast on the fire. This event is made possible thanks to the support of the Friends of Cherokee Marsh. An accessible portable restroom is provided.
Last hayride departure time: 3:40pm. No reservations are needed.
Location & Directions
- Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park, North Unit, 6908 N. Sherman Ave.
- Follow N. Sherman Ave. north to the parking lot at the end of the gravel road.
Parking Tips
- Limited vehicle parking is available at the main trailhead event site and the area is likely to be congested.
- Please consider carpooling, biking or parking in the secondary lot and walking a short distance to the event site.
Cost
- Hayride - $3/ per person (children 2 and under are free); cash only and exact change is greatly appreciated.
- Hike on your own - always free!
Important - please read
- Participants will need to enter/exit the wagon using stairs.
- Wagon rides happen rain or shine, however, ice or snow will cancel the event.
- Pets are not allowed at this event or any conservation park.
- Picnics are not allowed in conservation parks.
Volunteers Needed
