The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on October 28 to 6:00am on October 29, we received 414 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 63
- East: 86
- Midtown: 81
- North: 68
- South: 44
- West: 64
- Other: 8
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Tuesday, October 28:
Priority calls only from 4:29pm to 5:37pm due to calls for service.
- 5:14am - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a 911 disconnect with a voice heard in the background saying “you pulled a shotgun on me”. Contact made with two subjects in the home. Investigation resulted in probable cause developed to arrest a 76-year-old male subject for physically assaulting the other subject/victim who had visible injuries. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 6am - South – Adult Arrested Person: Search warrant executed at a residence due to numerous Cybertips related to child sexual abuse content on a cloud storage account tied to a resident/subject (33-year-old male). The subject was detained. Cell phones were seized. Additional electronics seized as evidence. The subject was arrested for possession of child pornography (4 counts). Additional charges may be forthcoming as investigation continues.
- 7:56am - North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was upset that the victim’s spouse had stepped in fresh concrete. The subject had choice words for the spouse. The victim confronted the subject about his choice of words used toward his spouse. The subject chased the victim and threatened to fight him. A video recording was taken of the interaction. The subject was not cooperative with officers and actively resisted them. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, felony bail jumping, and a probation/parole hold.
- 10:20am - West – Check Person: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of mental health services and was no longer willing to accept voluntary help. An emergency detention was sought/approved. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.
- 12:58pm - East – Disturbance: Officers responded to multiple reports of a large group of kids fighting and trying to steal things from businesses (2800 block of E. Washington Ave). Investigation ongoing.
- 4:32pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: A victim reported a previous physical domestic disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject. The victim had visible injuries. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject (not on scene). The subject was located and arrested for domestic strangulation, domestic false imprisonment, and domestic battery.
- 5:37pm - Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a report of a 27-year-old male subject opening packages in the mail room while taking off his clothes and exposing himself inappropriately. The subject was no longer on scene when officers arrived but was located nearby. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior and disorderly conduct.
- 10:10pm - Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 35-year-old male subject entered a business and exposed himself to a table of patrons. The subject was told to leave, which he did, but he continued to expose himself on State Street. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived, but he was located nearby and arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior (2 counts) and disorderly conduct (2 counts). This is the third time this month the subject has been arrested for the same offense.
- 10:12pm - North – Disturbance: A subject asked the caller to contact police about an altercation they were involved in. The victim was not on scene when officers arrived. A 46-year-old male subject was contacted by officers. The subject was confrontational with officers and actively resisted them when they detained him. The subject was arrested for resisting and misdemeanor bail jumping.
Wednesday, October 29:
- 1:55am - East – Trespass: Caller reported that their ex (38-yaer-old male subject) crawled through a bathroom window to get inside their apartment (unwanted). The subject was arrested for trespass to dwelling and disorderly conduct.
