Trash & Recycling Collection Changing for Thanksgiving Holidays; Streets Division Closed November 27 & 28
There will be no Streets Division collections will be performed on Thursday, November 27, 2025 and Friday, November 28, 2025.
The closures are in observance of Thanksgiving (11/27) and Ho-Chunk Day (11/28).
The drop-off sites and offices will also be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28.
How to Get the Carts Emptied During the Holiday
If You Have a Wednesday or Thursday Trash & Recycling Collection Day
If your trash and recycling are normally collected on Wednesdays or Thursdays by the Streets Division, set your scheduled carts to the curb by 6:30am on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Check your collection schedule calendar to see if you should have your recycling cart to the curb along with your trash cart.
Carts set out late may not be collected.
If You Have a Friday or Monday Trash & Recycling Collection Day
If your trash and recycling are normally collected on Fridays or Mondays by the Streets Division, you should have your carts out for pickup by 6:30am on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Check your collection schedule calendar to see if you should have your recycling cart to the curb along with your trash cart.
Carts set out late may not be collected.
Drop-Off Site Information
The Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, 2025.
The weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday will be the final Saturday and Sunday for the Streets Division drop-off sites for the year.
The final day for the Olin Avenue drop-off site is Sunday, November 30, 2025
The Sycamore and South Point drop-off sites will remain on expanded hours until December 4, 2025.
Check the drop-off site website for hours and locations before loading your vehicle.
