Bird & Nature Adventures | Tenney Park
Event Description
Winter Birds ~ Join Naturalist Paul Noeldner to look for and learn about Wisconsin's Favorite Winter Birds. Some binocs will be provided. We will take a leisurely stroll to check for colorful winter birds at feeders in neighboring yards, tiny sparrows hopping in trees and bushes looking for seeds, berries and bugs, ducks dabbling in the lagoon for bottom plants, and loons and merganzers diving in the lake for fish. Learn to use Merlin to help you identify birds by sound as well as by sight. How does each kind of bird find food, water and shelter? What seeds are good to put in a bird feeder? We may have a campfire with hot chocolate and smores after the walk.
