Bird & Nature Adventures | Warner Park
Event Description
Warner Tree & Martin Volunteer Projects ~ Join Master Naturalist Tim Nelson for a free educational family friendly walk. We will look at areas where Wild Warner volunteers are helping Madison Parks with tree plantings, removing invasives, protecting certain trees from beavers, and other nature restoration activities. Learn how native trees benefit birds, bugs, and other wildlife as well as humans. We will also visit a Purple Martin House, see how volunteers do weekly monitoring, and peek inside at baby birds!
Meeting Location: Rainbow Shelter by Warner Pond Lagoon, 2930 N. Sherman Ave.
Walks at Warner Park held on the 3rd Sunday of every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Wild Warner. Typically meet at the "rainbow" Warner Park shelter by the lagoon, unless noted otherwise. Parking is available nearby. Free, welcoming, healthy, fairly accessible, family and kid friendly, educational, no registration required, no pets.
