Park Development Plans - Southeast Area
April 3, 2026 Update
Madison Parks is holding a series of virtual public input sessions for the Southeast Park Development Plan process. The meetings will include an overview of the planning effort's goals, a review of the neighborhood parks included, and an opportunity for area residents and park visitors to share their thoughts on future park improvements.
The engagement sessions are organized by alder district and the next series of meetings will focus on the neighborhood and mini parks in District 15.

- Eastmorland Park
- Lake Edge Park
- Monona Park
- Ontario Park
- Quaker Park
- Sherry (O.B.) Park
The virtual open house dates for the District 15 parks are:
Session 1 - Thursday, April 23 - Evening Open House: 6:30 - 8:00pm
Session 2 - Wednesday, April 29 - Noon Open House: 11:30 am - 1:00pm

Parks is initiating a planning process that will result in park development plans for the neighborhood and mini parks in the Southeast Area. The planning scope follows the boundary identified for the Planning Division's Southeast Area Plan. A list of the parks involved in the planning process is below. The planning process will result in a one page “park development plan” which will guide the improvements to the park for the next 10 to 12 years. The parks involved with this planning process are all fully developed and range in size from 0.17 acres to 13.81 acres. This planning process will provide transparency regarding our future plans for each park and allow park patrons to weigh in on existing and potential recreation opportunities. Additional public engagement will take place when the actual park improvement has been funded.
